20 x 92mm ThermoWood TIGA Rainscreen Cladding
ThermoWood® Pine is a beautiful and sustainable solid wood material that is produced using a natural process. This process involves heat and steam, which chemically and naturally modifies the wood. The result is a durable, dimensionally stable, and resin-free material that has a warm brown colour.
Tiga Rainscreen cladding is installed horizontally with open joints, which allows for proper air circulation and dimensional movement. This cladding system is accompanied by a unique fastening system that enables the boards to be installed without any visible fixings. The installation process is quick, easy, and straightforward, using two discreet component parts.
Tiga Rainscreen cladding is chamfered on both edges, allowing the boards to overlap and drain water to the outside. The open joint creates strong shadow lines that accentuate the width of a facade. This type of cladding is best suited for modern architectural styles.
ThermoWood Pine is made using Finnish-grown European Redwood (Scandinavian Pine), which is heat-treated to temperatures exceeding 200 degrees Celsius. This thermal modification process enhances the properties of ThermoWood Pine, making it an ideal material for use in exposed areas such as external wall claddings.
