Cara gets ready for new Apprentice intake

Cara Brickwork have taken delivery of 8 sets of new apprentice tool kits provided via Rob Fahey from Beesley & Fildes/OX

The tool kits are for the Apprentices that will start on the new journey in September. 5 apprentices have already started (1 at The City Of Liverpool College/1 at Bolton College/2 at Warrington & Vale College/1 at Darlington College), we also have 4 at Leeds College of Building waiting to start along with (at least) 2 from Preston College and another 1 from The City Of Liverpool College.

This is the largest intake of apprentices that Cara Brickwork have taken on in a single year which shows the commitment to the future of the industry.

Cara Brickwork have always been committed to the long term future of our industry for many years with the Directors (Joey & Neil) being apprentices once themselves, they are both really keen to keep pushing for the apprentices to come through and learn the ‘art of bricklaying’.

Neil is also on the Board of the ABC training center, which aim is to provide better facilities and training (in Modern Methods of Construction) for all apprentices that come through colleges. Neil and the other board members (some of the biggest well respected brickwork firm across the country) have been pushing the new ‘training rigs’ and courses into colleges through the length and breath of the country, they are have a voice in what modules that are being set out by CITB to achieve the apprenticeship standard which is expected within the industry.
