Kilsaran KPRO Street Rapid Set Jointing Mortar (Paving Grout) is specifically designed for jointing pavement units made of clay, natural stone, granite setts, concrete flags, and paving bricks. It meets the requirements of BS 7533 parts 7 & 12 and can be used for jointing natural stone setts and slabs, kerbing, concrete flags, and clay pavers.
It is suitable for use in temperatures between +5°C and +30°C. Before application, ensure that the paving is free from dust, dirt, or grease, pre-soaked, and any ponded water removed.
Mix Kilsaran Rapid Set Jointing Mortar (Paving Grout) with about 4.25 litres of clean potable water per 25kg bag for 3 minutes until it reaches a lump-free, consistent slurry. Do not remix or add additional water to the mix. Only mix enough material that can be placed within 10 minutes. Pour the fresh mortar onto the prepared paved area and fill all joints with a soft brush or squeegee. Ensure the joints are full but allow for settlement, and remove any excess material with the squeegee once the joints are full. Spray a mist of water onto the area at all times to aid the cleaning process. After the joints are sufficiently hard (as soon as 15 minutes), remove any residual material with a constant flow of water and a diagonal sweeping action. You can also use a specifically designed belt cleaner. Timing and experience are crucial to prevent staining. Once cleaned, inspect all areas to ensure all excess mortar is removed.
