Knauf Plasterboard Adhesive 25kg, is a versatile gypsum-based adhesive specifically designed for the direct bonding of Knauf plasterboards and insulating laminates. This adhesive is perfect for a variety of applications, including direct bonding to common clay brickwork, blockwork, and a majority of concrete surfaces. It is ideal for lining blockwork and addressing uneven surfaces.
Key features of the Knauf Plasterboard Adhesive include a 90-minute working time and a robust bond strength, ensuring reliable application every time. It meets the BS EN 14496 compliance standards and offers a reaction to fire classification of A1. For substrates with high or low suction, it is recommended to use this adhesive in conjunction with Knauf Betokontakt Primer for optimal results.
This product is easy to use: simply mix two parts powder with one part water, apply in dabs to the substrate or plasterboard, and enjoy a strong and durable finish. The adhesive should be used in ambient temperatures above 5°C and provides coverage of approximately 4.6 square metres per bag when applied using the dot and dab method.
Please store the adhesive in a dry area to avoid lump formation and note that the shelf life is four months when stored correctly. As with all Knauf products, it is essential to follow the Health and Safety guidelines during handling and installation, as detailed in the Safety Data Sheet. Additionally, the product is recyclable, provided it is free from contamination with non-gypsum materials.
